I am mostly inspired by nature and the atmosphere of new places, whether I am exploring my native Czech Republic or travelling around the world. Working with both watercolour and oil, my aim is to capture fleeting moments and moments of beauty that might otherwise go unnoticed. Each piece I create is a reflection of my experiences, an attempt to transfer the emotion and energy of the moment onto paper. I try to preserve and enhance the essence of a place and allow viewers to revisit it with me at any time. Although the creative process can be extremely stressful at times, fine art is an indispensable part of my life. I paint simply because I have to, it is as necessary an activity for me as breathing.
