Hi, my name is Anna and I've been wandering around southern Mexico for a few months now. Mostly alone just with some paper and watercolors. I'm no blogger and this site is primarily meant to showcase my paintings, but inevitably I've picked up a lot of experiences along the way. Many of them may help those who are also going to Mexico or are just curious, so I decided to write a little bit about it. Plus, this way I can answer the questions I get from my dear friends, which individually is near impossible.

When reading, please keep in mind that Mexico is huge and I have only been to a few states, so my experience does not reliably represent all of Mexico. I've also been to some places for longer periods of time, but some places I've just skimmed through pretty quickly. So it's possible that I had a completely different impression of some places than someone else. And by the way, I seek to avoid the most touristy and I'm a bit of a punk when I travel, so if you're planning a week at a beach resort and five star restaurants, I'm probably not the best source of information.
