What is The Herbal Project?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Herbal Project is a growing collection of botanical art, medicinal herb research, and creative learning designed for people who want to reconnect with nature in a meaningful way. Through carefully researched herbal studies, original artwork, and hands-on creative practices, this project helps you explore the traditional uses of medicinal plants while building your own personal herbal journal with reliable knowledge supported by modern science. Herbs have been used for generations in everyday life, food, and medicine, yet much of this practical knowledge has faded over time. With this project, I hope to preserve and rediscover this connection while remaining grounded in modern science and responsible research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did I create this project?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Over the past several years, an interest has been growing in me, an interest in useful and medicinal plants coupled with a love for elaborate botanical illustrations. But two things were frustrating me. Firstly, it was not easy to incorporate intricate watercolour illustrations into my art practice because I felt forced to choose between these watercolours and much larger and looser oil paintings. Unfortunately, I am not able to give up either. The second frustration relates to the information about medicinal plants available online. There is simply too much of it, and the sources often claim different things. Since I have a perfectionist tendency, I could not simply choose one source knowing that there are plenty of other sources with different claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then, in the middle of one spring night, I got an idea! I could turn my passion into a complex project and find my people who would join me on this herbalist adventure and help me continue. This project gives me what I need: the space to carry out proper plant research and create my botanical artwork. And in turn, I hope to give you reliable knowledge, artwork you can cherish, and an opportunity to join me on this adventure of creating our own herbal books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does this project work?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Every month, The Herbal Project focuses on one medicinal herb. Members receive detailed botanical artwork, herbal summaries, in-depth research, and creative inspiration that encourages observation, sketching, collecting, and learning directly from the natural world. The goal is not only to learn about plants, but to create a lasting relationship with them. The project is also a community space for people interested in medicinal herbs, botanical illustration, foraging, slow living, traditional skills, and creative learning. Members can share experiences, discoveries, and inspiration with others from around the world who are interested in herbalism and nature-based creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do I need herbal experience?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You do not need any experience. In fact, it is the perfect way to start with herbalism and botanical art. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I print the pages myself? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes! I decided to make the art available digitaly so anyone from around the world can participate, and we limit the carbon footprint that would be created. However, a physical snail mail with signed prints is something that might become available for a limited number of members.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But! you can not share the digital artwork with other people or claim ownership and sell it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I cancel anytime? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course! You can stop the membership any time or subscribe only as a free member.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are the herbs safe to use?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
